Coated with TiN (Titanium Nitride), this tap offers enhanced wear resistance and reduced friction, making it highly durable for threading operations. It is specifically designed for use in materials like cast iron, stainless steel, and steel.
This bottoming tap features an H3 thread limit and a 2B thread tolerance, ensuring precise threading results. With a 20 TPI pitch, the tap has a thread length of 1.4400" (36.58mm) and an overall length of 3.1562" (80.17mm). The straight flute design is ideal for efficient chip removal, while the bottoming chamfer allows threading to the bottom of blind or through holes, ensuring full thread depth.
