The Merit® Surface Prep A/O Medium Grit TR (Type III) Non-Woven Quick-Change Disc features a premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain coating that delivers up to a 20% higher cut rate compared to competing products, enhancing performance on a wide variety of materials. The medium grit is perfect for moderate surface blending, finishing, and polishing of metals, including stainless steel, carbon steels, titanium, and softer materials like aluminum. The disc’s proprietary Clean Bond resin technology prevents smear marks while also reducing material loading, making it ideal for polishing high-nickel content alloys and soft metals. The high-loft nylon fiber construction bonded to a durable nylon scrim backing ensures long-lasting stiffness, durability, and performance. This disc uses the TR (Type III) roll-on/roll-off attachment system for easy, quick changes on power tools.
